Welcome to my 2021 One Cure Fundraiser! 

As many of you know, this a cause I have been championing since I first learned about the integral part that Dr. Steven Withrow and the CSU Flint Animal Cancer Center (CSU FACC) played in saving my life 24 years ago. With the help of Dr. Steven Withrow, DVM, and Dr. Lia Gore, MD, my terminal cancer diagnosis has became a 24 year celebration of life. Here you will find all the information needed to take part in raising money for One Cure.  Learn more here.

Just as important, without the excellent care given to Gertie in 2017 from all the staff and clinicians at the CSU FACC (special shout out to Dr. Deanna Worley, DVM), I have been able to celebrate the past 4 of those years with with my golden retriever, snuggle bug, and fellow cancer survivor Gertie. Like so many other pet owners, the CSU FACC gave me comfort and hope in one of life's hardest times. In order to give back, I am joining countless others to raise $10,000 for the 10th Anniversary of One Cure. 

But how to take my fundraising to the next level?

Given the season, my own unhealthy love of all things pumpkin, and pumpkin being a great snack for your four-legged friends as Gertie is always showing me, I am creating a One Cure pumpkin themed giveaway. Every time you donate $25, you will get one guess at how many pumpkin seeds are in our giant One Cure pumpkin:

On October 30th, I will post a video revealing the final count of how many seeds, the lucky winner, and of course reveal the final carving of the pumpkin as is only befitting of this fundraiser.

The lucky guesser closest to the total number of seed in our One Cure pumpkin will receive a fun filled package to personally represent One Cure. Includes:

• One Cure backpack
• One Cure travel mug
• One Cure hat
• One Cure scarf for your 4-legged friend
• And more, including a special surprise!

So how do you get started? Here are the basics:

My Goal: Raise $2,000

Who: You, your family, your friends, your co-workers 

What: Every $25 given, earns 1 entry/guess, but ANY donation is encouraged

When: October 8 through October 29

Where: From the comfort of your home

How:

1. Go to the fundraiser homepage and donate $25; click here
2. Go to the entry form and enter all the required information
3. Lucky guesser closest to the total seed count will be revealed on October 30th
